A summer uniform: three shirts, one trouser
How the Zamis studio dresses from June to September with four pieces and no second thoughts.

Ana Ferreira

From June to September most of the studio wears the same four pieces. Not because we have to, but because getting dressed stops being a decision when everything already works together.
The four pieces
Two Rua Shirts in chalk and one in ink, plus a single pair of Tejo Trousers in stone. The shirts are cut generously so they can be tucked, knotted or worn open over a vest; the trouser sits high and falls straight so it works with sandals and with loafers.
A uniform is not a lack of imagination. It is imagination spent somewhere else.
How to make it yours
Change the accessories, not the clothes. A cinnabar scarf, a heavier belt, rolled sleeves on Fridays. The uniform stays quiet so the person wearing it does not have to.
